ERP & enterprise solutions

One system your whole operation can agree on

Inventory, procurement, sales, finance, HR and production on a single data model, built around your process and phased so it actually lands.

Short answer

A custom ERP system is enterprise resource planning software built for one organisation, covering inventory, procurement, sales, finance, HR and production on a shared data model, with workflows matching how that organisation actually operates.

The problem

Stock is in one spreadsheet, purchase orders in another, sales in a third, and accounts in software that talks to none of them. Every month-end is a reconciliation exercise. Nobody can answer a simple question - what did that order actually cost us - without three people and a morning.

What we build

Modules on one data model: inventory and stock, procurement, sales and invoicing, finance and accounting, HR and payroll, production, and the reporting layer over all of it. Mobile access through a Flutter app where staff work away from a desk.

How we avoid the usual failure

Phasing. ERP programmes fail when everything launches at once, when dirty master data is migrated without cleaning, and when training is squeezed at the end. We ship modules in waves, clean data before it moves, and schedule training as delivery work rather than a formality.

How much does custom ERP development cost?

The honest answer is a range: a focused first phase covering inventory, purchasing, sales and basic accounting for a single-site business costs far less than a multi-site programme with production, payroll and consolidation. What we can promise is the shape of the number: discovery is a fixed price, the first phase is fixed once scope is agreed, and there are no per-user licence fees afterwards - which is where custom ERP overtakes packaged products financially as headcount grows.

ERP for manufacturing, trading and distribution businesses

Manufacturers get bills of material, work orders, material issue and wastage tracking that reconcile against physical stock. Trading and distribution businesses get multi-warehouse inventory, batch and expiry control, van sales and recovery tracking. In both cases the test is the same: does the system balance against what is physically on the floor at month end.

Cloud ERP or on-premise ERP?

On-premise suits businesses with unreliable connectivity or strict data policies; cloud suits multi-branch operations that need one live picture. A custom ERP can deploy either way from the same codebase, so the decision is about your operations, not about what the vendor happens to sell.

Replacing spreadsheets and legacy ERP software

Most of our ERP projects replace either a web of spreadsheets or a legacy system whose vendor has disappeared. Both cases live or die on data migration: cleaning the item master, de-duplicating customers and suppliers, and reconciling opening balances with your accountants before go-live. We budget real time for it because skipping it is the most reliable way to make a good system look bad.

Operational reports, management dashboards and exports finance will accept at period end.

Business outcomes

What changes for the business

  • One system instead of six spreadsheets

Stock, purchasing, sales and accounts reconcile against each other because they share one data model.

  • Fits your process, not a template

A custom ERP encodes how you actually operate, including the parts that make you competitive.

  • No per-user licence escalation

You own it. Adding staff does not add licence cost.

Technology stack

Tools we use on this work

  • Oracle APEX

How we work

How an engagement runs

  1. 01

    Process mapping

Department by department, including the workarounds people have quietly built.

  2. 02

    Module scoping

Agreeing which modules ship first. Trying to launch everything at once is the classic ERP failure.

  3. 03

    Build and configure

Iterative delivery module by module, with real users testing each one.

  4. 04

    Data migration

Master data cleaned and loaded, opening balances reconciled with finance before go-live.

  5. 05

    Training and rollout

Role-based training, then phased go-live with the old system available as a fallback.

  6. 06

    Support

Hypercare through the first month-end close, which is when real problems surface.

Frequently asked questions

Custom ERP development - questions and answers

A custom ERP system is an enterprise resource planning application built specifically for one organisation, covering modules such as inventory, procurement, sales, finance, HR and production on a single shared data model. Unlike a packaged ERP, the modules and workflows reflect how that organisation actually operates rather than requiring the organisation to adapt to the product.
